Men and Natural hair

There is always the debate of whether or not men like natural hair and what to do if your man doesn't like your hair. I found this video and I loved it. I never saw a man know so much about natural hair. If this man can know so much, any man can. I really would love my man to understand everything about my hair so I won't feel weird rocking my twist when I am about to go to bed (looking like medusa lol). So for all the ladies out there, who are scared to go natural or to do the big chop because of what their boyfriend/husband might think, this video is a must-watch.

I especially like when he said he likes 4a hair texture :D

Gift Idea #1: Video Cards

So that special someone's birthday is coming up and you're strapped for cash and you're running out of ideas...no worries Omosexi is here lol 

Video cards have been making a wave lately. Instead of buying a card from the store, get friends and family members of the "special person" to record themselves saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY/CONGRATULATIONS, or what so have you. 

Not only is this idea cheap (maximum $5 spent, and that's just for buying the blank DVDs), but it also shows the person that you spent time and energy thinking of something to give them. Plus it's a neat way of getting everyone "together" without the hassle of coordinating with schedules

From a personal testimony, I know it is great. I created a video for one of my friends for his birthday a while back, and I know he loved it. 

Remember: It's not the gift that counts, but the thought behind it. You don't need to get something expensive to show someone you care. Simplicity is the best!

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

Outrageously..[Pause]..WRONG

I've really tried to stay away from blogging, but I couldn't help it. I've found so many interesting things that I need to share with you guys. So, I'm back :D

The title says it all, but let me tell you the story behind it. While studying in the library my friend showed me a picture from a tumblr that she followed. Upon seeing it, I was immediately outraged!!

How dare someone print a t-shirt like this?!?! Isn't it bad enough that every time you turn on the TV there are tons of Feed the Children ads, with African children with bellies the size of a mountain and bodies as skinny as sticks. Isn't it bad enough that every time you mention Africa, people automatically think starvation, hunger, poverty  destruction, corruption, sadness, pity, disease, uncivilized, etc. Why and how dare someone print a shirt that stated that...I'm telling you, I was beyond #blown....

But...then I PAUSED....and looked at the back of the shirt, and I realized I was so mistakenly wrong. How dare I begin to think that others can only print bad acronyms of Africa. 

This T-shirt is so true, and I definitely went out and ordered one, because I was in love. Africa is DONE Suffering. Hadn't we had enough. And from the pictures below, you can tell that we no longer want to suffer, but we choose to live and enjoy. (Some might even say that we are enjoying more than Westerners)

Do these pictures look like the same pictures you see on Feed the Children and books about Africa? NO, they aren't. These pictures DO NOT look like Africa is suffering at all. To me, it looks like Africans have discovered how to SIMPLY enjoy life.

Africa Fashion Week (London 2011)

So I know I said I wouldn't be back until after Dec. 9, but I am supper excited today!! Why?!?!

Today is the start of *drum roll*.......

That's right, in case some of you may not have know, Africa does have it's out fashion week where: African and non African designers from all over showcase their latest African inspired creations, African Models are exposed to modeling agencies and African culture is praised!!!

So Africa Fashion Week has started today the 20th of Oct and ends the 22nd of Oct. and is taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

Africa Fashion Week usually takes place in New York in July and in South Africa in October, but luckily for the first time, London has participated in this wonderful fashion week. Their fashion week started on August 5th and ended on August 6th

Yes, you will marry me!! lol. I found this cute little video that I just had to share with everyone. Although amusing and adorable, it does beg the question "Are guys raised to fear marriage?" I've been wondering that for a while now, and this video definitely peaked my curiosity. I mean if they were raised to fear marriage, it would answer a lot of questions (Why do guys wait until their late 20s early 30s before considering marriage? Why are men so afraid of committed relationships? etc.) 

Anyways, hopefully I'm not overgeneralizing the male population. Anyways, back to my Contracts reading.
